How to publish a Framer, Webflow, Figma, or AI-generated export
Last updated: 14 June 2026
Design tools and AI assistants can export a complete static website — HTML, CSS, JS, and assets. The missing step is hosting it. With MakeMySiteLive you upload that export as a ZIP and it’s live in minutes, with free SSL and an optional custom domain.
What you’ll need
- ✓A static export from your tool (Framer, Webflow, Figma Sites, or an HTML export from an AI tool) containing an index.html.
- ✓A free MakeMySiteLive account.
Steps
- 1
Export your site
In your design tool, choose the static or HTML export option. You’ll get a folder (or ZIP) of HTML, CSS, JS, and assets with an index.html.
- 2
Check for an index.html
Confirm the export has an index.html at the top level (or inside a single wrapping folder, which is detected automatically).
- 3
ZIP the export
If your tool gave you a folder, compress it into a single .zip archive.
- 4
Upload to MakeMySiteLive
Create a site, pick a subdomain, and upload the ZIP. It’s validated, scanned, and published as a new version.
- 5
Go live and add your domain
Your export is live with free HTTPS. Connect a custom domain on a paid site whenever you’re ready.
Frequently asked questions
Does MakeMySiteLive work with Framer, Webflow, or Figma exports?
Yes — as long as the export is static HTML/CSS/JS with an index.html. Upload the ZIP and it’s hosted like any other static site.
Can I host a site an AI tool generated for me?
Yes. If ChatGPT, Claude, or another tool produced HTML files, zip them (with an index.html at the root) and upload to publish.
Will my animations and interactions work?
Anything that runs in the browser (CSS and JavaScript) works exactly as exported. Features that need a server won’t, since the site is static.
